Founded by Mr. Jaswant Singh Saini in 1969 at Central Cottage Industries Emporium, Janpath, Delhi, Mallika Floral is awarded the First Flower Shop in Delhi by the Honourable Prime Ministers of India – Mrs. Indira Gandhi and Mr. Rajiv Gandhi. Mallika Floral was in the florist industry even before the flower mandi of Ghazipur came into existence. The Janpath branch was operated under govt.
In the 70s, Mr. Saini had also opened several branches of Mallika Floral in Bombay, Agra and Mathura. Even in 1972, Mr. Saini developed the exhibition of cactus and other flowers in Pragati Maidan, Delhi. As mentioned before, back then, there was no flower mandi, Mallika Floral had its Nursery at Andheriya Mod, Mehrauli. There was no e-commerce at that time, but Mallika Floral was the first member of Interflora (a UK-based flower delivery network, associated with over 58,000 affiliated flower shops in over 140 countries) in the 70s.
Mallika Floral was operated by Mr. Sunil Saini from 1975 to 2005, after the death of his father – Mr. Jaswant Singh Saini.
In 2005, after the sudden unfortunate demise of her husband (Mr. Sunil Saini), Mrs. Anju Saini, who was then just a housewife, stepped up to take charge of the business started by her father-in-law and since then she is the one who has been behind your trust of Mallika Floral.
The women-led business shifted from Janpath to Shankar Market of Cannaught Palace in 2006 and the core customer base of Mallika Floral was and has been of the Ministry and Corporate Level: Govt. Offices, Private Offices, Ministry of Coal, Ministry of Mines, UTI, HHEC, Income Tax Office, Chief Commissioners of Delhi. Mrs. Anju Saini operated in Shankar Market till 2015.
Currently, Mallika Floral operates from Noida Sector 18 delivering flowers, plants, and cakes to you and decorating its existence with dozens of appreciation letters from the Government of India.
